Support the American Taxpayers' Bill of Rights: Sign the Petition

July Campaign: Support the American Taxpayers' Bill of Rights

Because federal spending and the bureaucracy are out of control, an American Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights is necessary to bring fiscal responsibility to Washington, D.C. We applaud the Republican Study Committee (RSC) for advancing this proposal that would force government to live within its means with these 4 crucial components:

  1. Spending caps to stop out of control budget growth.
  2.  Preserving Social Security money just for Social Security, not for a Congressional slush fund.
  3.  Sun-setting the entire federal tax code to hold budgets accountable to outcomes.
  4.  A balanced budget without raising taxes.

As concerned American taxpayers, we hereby sign this petition urging those seeking our country’s highest office to act responsibly by publicly endorsing the RSC’s American Taxpayer Bill of Rights.

We will deliver the petition to U.S. Presidential Candidates!

peter demareeneptune, NJJuly 23, 2008problem is, we all complain, but when it comes to really complaining we seem to back off and accept the same old thing. maybe all politicians should be forced to do their own returns with no help from anyone. can you just imagine the stress.
Jennifer CabaudSonoma, CAJuly 23, 2008Please realize this is the fair way to tax Americans and a much easier way to figure your tax bill. We are counting on our next President to change what is wrong with our country and give us the solutions we so despirately need!
Luke McKinneyRockville, INJuly 22, 2008A flat tax would provide instant wealth growth throughout the nation by lowering taxes for a majority of working Americans. This puts cash right into the hands of millions of tax payers. Those tax payers will then put the money back into the economy by purchasing everyday goods, reducing their personal debt, or investing in their retirement. By doing this, Wall Street will return to a bull market and the value of the dollar will rise, thus reducing the cost of foreign products like goods from overseas and foreign oil.
